This blog has been long time coming, we are going to tell you how to make money online blogging, it is not as complicated as you think. At the same time, it is not as easy as many people might make it sound.

However, we did find some consistent numbers for blogger income internationally, then again we live in a global community. Your blog can be read from anywhere in the world.

Here is what we found:

• You can make between $20 – $50 000 per year, from the first year of blogging – Source
• That number only goes up from there
• Obviously this is best case scenario, provided you are blogging about the right topics, and blog consistently.

 

Consistency is one of the key drivers in growth

Like a rule of thumb, the more often you blog, the faster you will grow. Then, the more regular visitors and views you get, the more money you are making.

How much money do bloggers make?

I want to focus on the top three, these top three will make you 90% of the money that is made by bloggers out there. I will also mention them in order of profitability.

• Direct advertising, featuring companies and specific products
• Affiliate marketing
• Google ads

From top to bottom, you are making the most money. But you will most likely start this list from bottom up as a new blogger. It is easiest to set up google ads, Adsense. This is where most bloggers start, as you grow you audience you will start to qualify for some affiliate marketing agreements. When you are big enough, companies will be knocking on your door for guest posting – features on your site, specific advertising, reviews etc.

The how: Do can you start blogging today, now

Starting a blog is the easiest thing, and cheaper than you thought. Here is a list of things you will need to get started:

On a serious note – Here are all the steps you can follow now to get started:

Get a hosting account. Try Domains – they charge a monthly free of R89 per month, and you get a free domain. So that is all you pay, monthly though .

They will mail you a c-panel login and password. In your welcome email, look for the c-panel url, click on that and enter the username and password provided. Remember that username and password. It is always good practice to immediately change that password.

The package comes with a free SSL certificate, no worries. You just install the website and good to go.

 

Install your WordPress website.

Once logged in, scroll all the way to the bottom of the page. Use the WordPress icon to create a website.

When the process is completed, you will see two different links. One link showing you where your new website is live at, the second one showing you your admin url.

Keep both these urls safe, including the login for your admin section. This is different from the c-panel login. You will be able to create your posts in the admin section of your website.
